How your mood becomes a match
Every artist carries a weight from 0 to 1 for each of 16 genres. Pick moods, genres, or both: a mood is a shortcut to a few genres, and picks from both lists count together. The order you pick in sets how much each one counts. The score adds it up and scales it so your best match is 100.
The pipeline
1 · Artist side
Genre weights per artist
Each tagged artist has a weight per genre. Turnstile, for example, is mostly punk with some indie rock. 135 of 138 artists are tagged so far.
2 · Your side
Picks become strengths
Moods expand to their genres and join any genres you picked directly. Your first pick counts fully and each next one a bit less, down to 0.4.
3 · Score
Multiply, add, rescale
Strength × weight, added up, then stretched so the best match in the lineup scores 100.
Moods are shortcuts to genres
Artists aren't tagged with moods. Picking a mood turns on its genres. If a genre is in two moods you picked, or you picked it as a genre too, it keeps the stronger one. A genre you mark “less of this” stays less, even if one of your moods includes it.

Order sets the strength
The order you tap is your priority. Picks from #5 on all count the same, so a late pick still matters. Genres you mark “less of this” pull matching artists down.
| Your pick | Strength | On the scale |
|---|---|---|
| #1 | 1.00 | |
| #2 | 0.85 | |
| #3 | 0.70 | |
| #4 | 0.55 | |
| #5 | 0.40 | |
| #6 and later | 0.40 |

This uses the same scoring as the planner on the tagged ACL 2026 artists. Pick moods, genres, or both, in the order you want them.

Each line shows the artist's genre weight × your strength for the two genres that helped most. The other 3 artists aren't tagged yet and can't match here.
The formula
match = sum over genres of (your strength × artist weight) score = 15 to 70, scaled by your match best match in the lineup = 100 no tags = 15, shown as a discovery pick
Why rescale
A one-genre match would otherwise top out far below 100. Stretching to your best match keeps “top pick” meaningful.
Tags and reviews
Genre tags a person hasn't reviewed yet count for less. No one can pay for a higher score.
Good to know: some artists aren't tagged yet; they show up as discovery picks rather than matches. We're adding tags as we go.
From scores to your day
The planner picks sets for each day you're there, between the times you arrive and leave.
Pace
Stage-hop samples 25 to 40 minutes of lots of acts. Stake out stays for full sets. Balanced mixes the two, and stays for a top pick (score 70 or more). Each card has a bar for the official set, filled for the part you're there for.
Walking
Walking time between stages is estimated from the stage map. Your walk limit caps each leg, and every walking minute costs a little score, so a far stage has to be worth it.
Headliners
Pick one for the night, split between two, or let the planner decide. Each headliner shows its match, genres and moods, with details on tap. A picked headliner is placed first and the rest of the day is built around it.
The better match wins
A strong match counts for much more than a weak one (scores are squared), so one set you'll love beats two you'd shrug at. A set the planner chose never ranks below one of its own backups: if a better match fits the same slot, it takes the slot.
Why this pick?
Every set shows its genres and match. Tap the match (the ⓘ next to it) to see which of your picks it matched, or that it fills an open slot.
Breaks and backups
A 20-minute water and food break is added about every 3 hours. Each set has up to two backups, best match first, that you can swap in; the day re-flows around the swap.
During the festival
Opens at what's on now
On a festival day your plan opens on today, scrolled to the set that's playing or next. The lineup and day pages open at the sets still to come.
Only days still ahead
Building a plan mid-weekend ticks today and later days only. You can still add a past day if you want it.
Lineup by time or by stage
The lineup and each day page list every set with its genres, in time order or grouped by stage. The lineup links to the official festival map.
Ideas for free time
When your plan has 30+ free minutes between sets, it lists up to three sets you can catch part of there (after walking, and still on time for your next set), best match first. Add one with a tap; the rest of your day stays as it was.
Stage compass
The Compass tab (and the Compass link between sets in your plan) points an arrow at a stage from where you stand, with the distance and walk time. Your location and compass stay on your phone.
Set times can change
Times come from the published schedule and are reviewed before they appear. Check the festival's own channels for last-minute changes.
Save, share and go
Saved on your device
No account and no email. Your plan lives in this browser and works offline once loaded.
Share by link or PDF
The link carries your answers, with no name or email. The PDF has each day in color with a route map.
Add to your calendar
Apple gets one file with every set. Google gets a MoodRadius ACL 2026 calendar you subscribe to.
Build your own
Know exactly who you want to see? The Build your own tab skips the quiz: tap sets in the lineup (by time, by stage, or on a printed-style schedule grid) and get the same plan view, with no match scores. Each set has a Listen link, and each pick lists backups playing at the same time, so you can swap mid-day. If two picks overlap, it splits the time, allowing for the walk, and says when to leave.
Group
Add friends' plan links, give each a color, and see who is where by stage or in a grid. Everything travels in the link. Nothing is stored on our servers.
Genre coverage
How many tagged artists carry each genre, and how many carry it strongly (weight 0.7 or more). Thin genres give thin results.
